Should I long term store electronics and flashlights in air tight containers?

I like to plastic wrap and store in used medicine bottles and plastic containers such as spice bottles, my unused extra USB chargers small flashlights and such, can that ruin them?

Seeing that desiccant used makes me wonder if there is a problem with my storage, I did drill holes in some of the containers for the chargers.

Right now I have a tiny Pak-lite that I wanted to wrap in bubble wrap or saran wrap and put into a small aspirin bottle, is that a problem?

To me this packing keeps the little things from being lost and it also makes them bullet proof so that I can dig through a box without harming anything.

I wouldn’t store them in airtight containers. Some of the components and plastics can release gases.

Vibration, impact, dust, excess heat, sunlight and moisture are the things you want to protect them from.

Thanks, I will do what I did with some of them, keep the bubble wrap loose and drill holes in the containers.

should not be too much of a problem. Many manufacturers seal their newly made products in shrink wraps.

When you open the seal, there is that lovely electronic smell. Or solvents. >.<
