Here’s my bike when I was picking it up from the stealership. I’ve since changed the air cleaner, added straight pipes, Bored the jugs out to 103 with 10:1 Pistons and added S&S 585 Easystart cams. I also changed the rear light to led and removed that useless front fender. I put over 50K miles on that bike within the first few years of owning it. I used to ride 80mi one way to work on it. She’s parked right now waiting for my lazy a to change out the rear brake rotor and adjust the belt. I still ride it every now and then like that but I’m not that comfortable with only the front brake working.

yeah, for the most part. When I was working 80 miles away I remember riding home at 3AM when it was in the 30s and raining. My jacket was soaked through after about 20 mins. I have never been that cold in my life.

Started riding when I was 5 years old on a Honda 50 trail bike ,and could ride it before I could ride a bicycle without training wheels. I am 52 now and still love riding.
These are the only 2 rides I have pictures of on the computer, may dig out earlier years and update sometime.

This is my current ride (also avatar picture)
It is a 2009 Yamaha Royal Star Venture , 1300cc V4, with everything except an AC.(drivers backrest not on it in this picture)

Since this is a flashlight forum, thought I had better add the beamshots too.

This was my previous ride I sold to buy my current one.

Cool lights. I thought about accent lights but none of them are really bright enough imo . maybe some modded light pods with 100 watt cobs would do the trick. Lol

Those Asians are crazy with what they cart and tow. The best I have seen was two oxen I guess were around 550 Kg and the trailer behind a 125 clapped out Honda. The total weight behind the bike would of been around 1.5 Ton.

Those loaded down bikes are Honda Cubs, the best selling vehicle of all time, over 50 million sold. Most have a 50cc engine that is bulletproof.

While in Vietnam and Cambodia recently the wife could not understand my fascination with mopeds and small Honda’s and Yamaha’s. They have to be seen to believed. On more than one occasion she went crook at me for taking so many pictures of these amazing bikes and what they are asked to do.

Ramrod, Suncoaster has a 900 triple Yammie as well. Hes promised me a ride if I ever get up North to visit him.

I absolutely love all the pictures of the motorbikes in Vietnam (my native land). I was there twice last year and there’s nothing quite like experiencing the country on 2 wheels. I plan to one day do a trip from the south to the north on 2 wheels. (I need to move there already haha). It’s a shame more and more people are clogging up the roads with their 4 wheeled monstrosities there. :rage: The motorbike traffic seems insane but it’s actually much more efficient, especially given how small the streets are (and how much they can load up :laughing: ). Cars really muck it all up…compare Saigon to Bangkok…ew.

Anyway my 2-wheeled obsession is alive and well in the states as well. Here’s my daily rider:

My CB500F, fresh after a wash. Nothing special but I love her. Still have some mods I need to add (fender delete and integrated LED taillight) but it’s been way too hot here to work on her.
