My Skilhunt H15 won’t do anything. No light, no red led in the switch, nothing. I’ve got it apart, no broken wires or solder joints. several good cells to try (14500)
Where and how should I begin testing? I have a UT210E dmm.
One possibility might be that the cell is too long, preventing contact between the tailcap and the tube. Try testing directly from the rear of the cell to the bare edge of the tube, and see if you have anything.
Second possibility; is the tube installed backwards? That’ll sometimes prevent contact. (I don’t know if that’s even possible with your light, it’s a general observation)
Does the cell have a tripped protection circuit perhaps?
Thanks. I have tried jumping from the edge of the tube to the bottom of the cell with no luck. I have 4 “known” good cells that I’m working with. How do I test the led?
Some dmms supports testing the led, while some not… I don’t know what is situation for yours device, maybe someone who have it knows better.
