I know there is a vast selection of 3” and up big flippers out there. Anything out there smaller besides the Kershaw Cryo? I would love a 2-3” flipper. Thanks!
Fasttech has a large selection of Ganzo
Use the drop down menu of the model to see a long list showing blade length.
GANZO G711 Stainless Steel Foldable Tactical Survival Knife w/ Pouch
Beware there are a few “Auto” in there if you are not allowed to have one.
Sanrenmu has a lot of knives with small size and flipper. Look that.
Some examples: sanrenmu 733/7033, 6026, 7076…
Thanks so much for the ideas so far. Keep them coming.
I don't have that many smaller knives...
The Kershaw Leek has a 3" blade, and it's pretty nice.
EDIT: The Kershaw Intellect also has a 3" blade.
I’m following this thread as I’m a fan of small pocketknives. I like my Boker Subcom clone as it’s small, thin, and lightweight, all while fitting my hand well due to the disproportionally ‘tall’ design. Unfortunately, it’s not a flipper…
@CRX: I really like the look of that first AE knife you posted. Until I clicked the link and saw that it’s nearly $50… A bit pricy for something that would spend most of its life cutting tape on boxes, and would probably end up getting lost. Then I clicked the second link… :zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face:
Overall, I’m not a fan of the Kershaw aesthetics, or their smooth scales(?) but that intellect looks okay. I also this Kershaw Spoke which looks nice, is small (2”Blade/3.5”closed), and has a flipper:
Pet Peeves:
- New trend for “Stonewash” blades
- Knives that include a bottle opener which needlessly lengthens the frame
True, but the OP didn’t limit price so i just post what i know of.
I have the Malyshev copy, really nice with ti scales, bearing and D2 blade, i carry a modified version that doesn’t lock when wearing a suit.
There’s also the Techno copy which i can also vouch for, but no flipper.
I like the look of that Kershaw Spoke.
I’m carrying Kershaw Scallion and it’s pretty small.
If you need anything smaller, you can choose Kershaw Ember or Tickfaw.

I wish you hadn’t posted that, i had laid off buying knives for a while…
I picked up a CRKT KISSist 5560 from Woot a few months ago and absolutely love it. It has been discontinued, presumably because some people have been cut on the small portion of the blade that is sort of exposed when in the closed position. A Google search reveals that there may still be some available from some vendors.
I understand the concerns / complaints about the semi exposed blade, but I have had no issues with it once I understood what I was dealing with. The open and close action is now quite intuitive, and in fidgeting with the knife for hundreds of cycles, feels great.
Lets see if I have figured out Imgur…
Wow…can see the exposed danger in those pics. After a few beers, that COULD present a challenge in deployment …
It looks worse than it really is. the back side of the blade has only got a micro bevel, so it is between 0.010 and 0.020 from the handle. (One business card fits, two do not.) My biggest problem was getting used to the spring assist opening. Because of the way it works, it is in your best interest to use the pocket clip.
I would buy at least a couple more if I could find them for the $20 price I paid on Woot.
Kershaw Chill, slightly modified.
Kershaw OD-2, really a shame they discontinued it in favor of the many assisten openers…
Yeah, too bad. I wanted this knife so bad
There was this interesting knife linked to a little back, a small folding knife with some tools at the end (you know screwdrivers and such, I hate I cannot find it anymore, I really want one where I originally dismissed it for being too small
think it was sarenmuor something.
Small knifes of Sanrenmu
(while looking for that folder with a few extra tools, I am hijacking your topic but hopefully also link to some nice looking knifes for a decent price for ya.)

Thanks for all of the great ideas. I did not specify price, but on this forum in general everything I do is budget. Maybe around $50 and under. Thanks again!
