2 Weeks? You’d be lucky (mind you KD aren’t as bad as some HK resellers) don’t be surprised if it takes closer to a month. ![]()
What sort of range are you after? With that set-up I would guess its going in a .22 for rabbits out to ~80m?

Here's my thread about the pocket-thrower I built using a 501a and the DX aspheric:

Normal warnings about the suitability of the aspherics DX is selling now apply...
Testing this light with my cheap DX lightmeter showed 26k lux @ 1m, a hotspot intensity close to that of my 5x Q5 TR-1200...
Thats pretty much it! And, of course, the kiwi tree bear - the possum!
Most shooting is done at 50m or under.
Was hoping I could make a small, throwy XM-L setup, but it seems that the term “small, throwy XM-L” is a contradiction after reading around the internet ![]()
You may want to PM E1320, he knows a lot about gun lights. I'm pretty sure he has an XR-E aspheric on his.
Here is what I find on rabbits with a p60 drop-in regarding range:
I use a XP-G driven at 1A on my .22 for out to 50-60m… longest shot so far is 70-80m however that was pushing it. I did have a XR-E p60 (with smooth reflector) driven at 1A however I did not find it gave me any extra range just a smaller hotspot.
Might I suggest a XP-G2? It is around 10-20% brighter then the XP-G, with a narrower beam angle so should throw better when using optics to focus it. I would expect the XP-G2 at 1.5A to give 50% extra range (over a XP-G at 1A) so should be good out to beyond 80m with a larger hotspot then the XR-E.
Can be driven above 2A with good heat-sinking.
