So where do we get our batts now?

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else, but with battery freight from chinese suppliers now difficult until a new safe exporting practice is agreed to - exactly where can we source good quality 18650s from?

Can anyone suggest a reliable and not expensive alternative means of supply for say panasonics, trustfire 3000s etc? Our local ebay type site in NZ has panasonics at double the price, or lots of cheap and nasty 3800-4000mAh ultrafires which of course measure in at about half that - and are useless in XML lights.

Japan, Korea?

I went to a local fleaMarket in my area, and found some discontunued new Laptop Batteries for 20 bucks each, and salvaged the Ten 18650’s from that. ( though they will be unprotected cells when pulled from laptop cell packs, so caution is needed and voltage monitoring when charging and using these types of cells if you go that route.

I think i’ll open an online shop in my country and get cells directly from panasonic/sanyo

How about this deal - Panasonic NCR18650B 2-pack for $14.95 shipped at BG (now also protected button top for $16.50) ?
They seem to be arriving OK for other members.
I expect mine in a couple of weeks, they’ve been sent.

Thanks to the vaping community I can get cheap Efest IMR's locally in the Netherlands at at least three internet shops. And also here is www.nkon.nl, a good battery shop with ok prices (not nearly as cheap as Fasttech).
