Hello there.
Have an idea: to buy a Sofirn HS20 and replace it’s optics. Install smooth reflector instead of orange peel and faceted TIR instead of flat TIR for 351D.
Is there anybody who already did this?

Hi.
Welcome to BLF.
I changed the reflector to narrow TIR lens (5 or 10 degrees I believe) and the result was OK but not a game changer.
If you would be satisfied with around 10% difference why not to give it a go? The swap is easy and reversible so go and have some fun
Thanks. Where did you get that TIR?
You can swap the XHP50.2 for a SFT40 for more throw, while keeping the same reflector. Using a smooth reflector with the XHP50.2 will not make as much of a difference and it can end up showing the blue spot artifact. If you can’t find the right TIR for the 351 channel you can use some diffusion film in front of the standard TIR.
I can’t say. I got a compartment where store all my tir optics. I got like 200pcs so I’m cannot tell which is from where. But you can measure the reflector and choose appropriate in Yajimei store
This. With such a large emitter and small reflector, SMO versus OP makes virtually no difference in throw. Diffusion film is probably the easiest way to get more flood.
Thanks for posting the Yajimei Optics link!
I can buy an SFT40 version of HS20.
O_O
Ok, I’ll search there. Thanks.
