Noice!

I like both the '21 and '42.

I mainly use the '42 as a right-angle light, and often just “palm” the '21.

Never thought to check the sensor with a remote. Most of those “chirp” IR and then “listen” only for the appropriate return, vs “any IR presence”.

Will have to try that with my touchless soap-dispensers. :joy:

The HS21 was $20 just two weeks ago.

Amazon regularly have flash sales for a few days. You have to be lucky to catch it.

Thanks for the review. I like the light, I love rotary interfaces.

The IR receiver is quirky but I could see using it for some fun while car camping.

@Sofirn
Like most other neat lights with unique features, what keeps me from buying one for myself or dozens for my team is CRAPPY emitter choices.

Stop chasing lumens numbers and give us options for 3000-5000K with high CRI.

Until then Convoy and Emissar will continue getting my money.

They’re low cost brand for the masses and masses like numbers. Considering that they’re not bad, they frequently use ~5000K emitters instead of 6500K, you can find high CRI options as well (SP40A).
