Sofirn HS22 charging cover opening (Discussion)

In my Sofirn HS22 review I mention how the charging cover always lifts when it heats up, and to wait for the next batch before buying it.

I’ve had a couple others mention their HS22 has been fine and they don’t have this problem. It got me thinking about the ambient temperature and ran a test.

Ambient temp 18°C and below > cover opens every time with a hiss
Heated with heat gun to roughly 25°C > cover remains perfectly sealed

Messaged Weerapat Kiatdumrong about his review, since he mentions it remains sealed, to find his ambient temp was around 25°C+. I’m certain the issue I’m seeing is that because the colder internal air is expanding more than warm air, it’s lifting the cover on mine. It’s not that anything has been fixed which people are starting to think. Sofirn needs to test this in cold temps to try replicate this issue.

Disappointing they didn’t copy the HS20 by placing the charging port behind the side cap.

Those that have purchased the HS22 please test this and provide feedback. If the temp is warm where you live then you could try placing it in the fridge for 15 minutes, insert a freshly charged cell and hit turbo. Leave running for around 5 minutes.
