I own all 3 of these lights. The SC18 and WK03 are 100% identical except for the texturing on the body tube. I suspect they’re made in the same factory.
Comparing the SC18/WK03 to the Convoy S2+
Pros of the SC18/WK03
- Significantly Smaller
- Onboard charging
- Side side switch.
- Electronic switch allows for a more intuitive interface.
- It may be brighter than the Convoy
Pros of the Convoy S2+:
- Tailcap clicky switch is unlikely to accidentally turn-on in the pocket. Unlike the protruding rubber button on the SC18/WK03, which might require use of electronic lockout.
- No parasitic drain
- Many more choices of emitter
- More heavily built, so probably more durable.
- No rubber charging port cover to get damaged.
- If you get one with metal switch, then there are no expose rubber parts at all to get damaged.
If I had to choose only one of these lights I’d choose the SC18/WK03. In my opinion, the Convoy is just too big for pocket EDC.
