Sofirn SC18's for $12.77 sale on Aliexpress

I needed to find new flashlights for my wife who does quality control inspection. I picked up a SC18 for her to try and she loved it. I think it was $18 or so. I went back to get her more and found this deal for $12.77 including a Sofirn 3000 mAh battery that tests over 3000 on my Opus. I bought 1 more for her, and 1 for me. I normally prefer zoomies because I got started on SK68’s and SK98’s, but these kick butt for their size, and have a great for me UI. Their USB-C charging also seems to work fine. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804979697338.html They even come with a decent 3,000 mAh battery.

I got a couple straight from Sofirn. Don’t use them much but great value. Pretty good after a neutral XML2 swap also.

Thanks for this. Since I hadn’t used the site in a while I was able to pick it up for about $9 after tax with free shipping.

I’m ashamed to say recently I bought the first SC18 for $17. I fell in love, then bought another for $12, then 3 more for $13 each. I started out just trying to find my wife a little light for work, but I love these little guys. They are so bright I’m not hardcore zoom only anymore. My wife was not happy when I tossed one in a clear tall glass of water. But it was a good demo of junk $15 Amazon 18650 lights, vs well made ones. I’m going to leave a couple of these at the new house my wife built me in the jungle of Philippines. They’ll be perfect for night use there.

I just picked one up from AX for $10.51, all in. I really don’t like the poor regulation that many reviews have shown with their runtime graphs, but for that price (with a battery!) I’m sure I can deal with it.

Picked up a couple too. They make great gifts.

The gift aspect of them is great. They come with a good battery and built in charger so you don’t get any WTF is this battery? looks from muggles you are gifting to. They know what a USB-C charger is.

If gifting it to a muggle, I would check if the light has LVP protection, otherwise it’s a hard pass for safety’s sake.

EDIT: yes it has, accordingly to the description on the same AE page: "LVP: while on, if the battery voltage is lower than 2.7V, it turns off automatically .

Purchased, TY

I am not expecting much but as a bedside light I am sure its ok.
