The machining on all Sofirn/Wurkkos lights I know is very good, they really nail it with their threads, o-rings and water proofing which covers the most important aspects. Now I did notice a few sharp edges at times (not on the FC11 of SC31pro but some users pay more attention) and have criticized it with the Wurkkos WK30 where it really was too much on the tailcap and seemed more like a mistake they made. I think it mostly boils down to machining time - you want grooves for heatsinking but to do them extra well must cost a disproportionate amount of time on the machine which translates into money. As Sofirn/Wurkkos does budget lights this might be a trade-off they have to do. But that is just my idea.
