Long-lasting, easy-to-pack, electric-shaver-shaped work light with a tilting head.
SFT42R/6500K in smooth reflector: ~2600 lm / ~300 ANSI m max for 1 min (~650 lm sustained for 5 h) + red/UV.
Beam Acuity Index of ~5. The light should provide similar illumination to the M21H with XHP70.3 and a little wider beam but similar reach to the HS21 Spot (Map of Flashlights).
2*18650 replaceable batteries, USB-C charging, a button with smooth-ramping UI and a dial to select the LED (white, red, UV).
I like the package but not so much the emitters. I’d like to keep the red as it is but get something throwy with a nicer tint in 5000 K instead of the main SFT42R 6500 K.
I also can’t stand the unfiltered UV glow - so I figured maybe some floddy high CRI in 4000-5000 K instead?
I’m trying to figure out what emitters would be easy to use as replacements - size-wise and current-wise.
After using the light for a bit longer I think, as others also have noted, that not having the reverse charging/powerbank function has been the opportunity missed in this light - with such a battery capacity and form and camping/emergency/the only light vibes.
