For those who are interested in adding a UV filter to their Convoy S2+ UV flashlight, here’s a short tutorial.
- Convoy S2+ UV Nichia flashlight.
2. Picture showin inside of head.
3. Insert tweezers/ring tool and rotate counter-clockwise.
4. Retaining ring removed.
5. Insert pliers/ring tool and rotate pill counter-clockwise.
6. Pill removed, along with reflector and lens.
7. Replace glass filter with UV filter and carefully screw back into head (maintaining the lens level). Continue following Steps 3 thru 5, in reverse order.
8. Picture showing relative size of the two lenses. The 2mm UV filter is about 0.5mm thicker than the original lens.
The 20mm diameter UV filter is about 0.5mm smaller in diameter than the original lens.
Note: Despite the slight differences in dimensions the UV filter still fits securely.
