My Emisar D18 arrived yesterday, but I’m not fond of the tint. I’m too accustomed to Nichia 219B R9080 sw45k tint.

I opened it, loaded it with cells, and used it for under 5 minutes.

This is the SST20 4000K model in black.

It includes the original box (a bit dented), two spare o-rings, lanyard, and holster.

I like the 219b 9080 as well. I have never seen the set 4000k in person, but have read that it’s a bit green at lower levels.

How would you describe the difference in tints?

IMO, the tint difference isn’t all that large.

It’s just that the 219B is so rosy compared to the SST-20 that it seems to look better to most eyes, but I actually prefer the SST-20 since it looks more realistic IMO.

A lot of members here will prefer the red oversaturation of the 219B though.

This was my first experience with SST20 emitters.

I didn’t find the 4000K SST20 greenish. They’re just a bit warm/yellow for me.

FWIW, I feel the same way about the 4000K 219B too. I built a Meteor with 12 of them a while ago. Immediately after powering it up, I wished I’d used sw45k.
