Selling this very special used Fenix HL50 headlamp.
The headlamp was modded by Clemence himself. He had to create a custom MCPCB to match the unique shape of the original XML board.
The LED was replaced with a Nichia E21A 9080 4000K LED.
Output:
The output is lower than the stock low CRI XML, but it produces a tighter hotspot and actually feels brighter with better throw and more useful at lower settings for better battery runtime. The tighter spot is also less annoying to campers around you as they don’t get blinded.
Tint:
The tint is absolute perfection, perfect creamy white, with absolutely no green. I haven’t measured it, but most likely right on BBL, or maybe just slightly below.
Regulation:
Perfect flat regulation, with no dimming on high until the batteries are depleted. See chart below.
