$45 shipped within the USA.
This is a new Q8 that I just got and it works just fine. I had to get it to see what all the fuss is about and now I know. This light is way cool. 5000 + lumens plus incremental adjust ability in between. I can’t really see me using this other than a show off light…………which it would be very good at. But I prefer the single cell lights and probably my favorite is the Sofirn C8F and SP31 which have cap switches. I guess I’m a tail cap guy.

If I didn’t have 3 Q8s already…

By the way, what kind of cells do you guys recommend for this? I have some 3400mAH cells but they’re not IMR. Think they’ll work okay?

Thank you for saving me from myself
LoL
I think the cells need to be able to do…5 amps? I use samsung 30q in mine

I would use a matched set of four, dedicated to only this light.

You’re welcome j.a.g.!
Mine are Evva protected cells, (rebranded Panasonic NCR18650B), but I don’t know how many amps they can pull.

I think your panny's max recommended draw is something like 6.8A. Not sure it's enough for the Q8 on turbo.

Sale pending to Gebe. PM sent.
As far as cells for this light, I think the guys have described what is necessary. I used four NCR18650GA. They work great because they have the necessary current rating plus the top is slightly raised. Flat tops won’t work in this light. The button top Samsung 30Q’s would work just fine too. I think the Panasonic NCR18650B protected with button top would work on all but the highest level. By that I mean those cells may not be able to source the max current. I have 4 Keepppower 3400mAh cells and I’ll give it a go and measure the output. I know I was getting just a little over 5000 lumens in my makeshift lightbox on the GA’s.

HKJ has tested your EVVA’s, see LINK
The protection circuit trips at 7 to 8 Amp.
Mind you, there are 4 parallel led’s in a Q8, and 4 parallel batteries.
So each battery has only 1 XP-L HI led to take care of.
I would give it a try, before ordering a new set of batteries.
And if you do: buy button tops!

Payment sent. Thanks for all the great info gents!
Thanks for that Henk! Ya, I’m going to try these and they are button tops. HKJ rated them highly and we’ll see. I hope they do as they’re extras and I really don’t want to buy a new set.
