No not 15k.

19k lumens is what he measured with mine at 5700k 80CRI LEDs stock.

With spring bypasses, it goes up to 20-21k lumens.

MT09R XHP70.2 lights with spring bypasses and Texas_Ace drivers are generally measured around 20,000 lumens or higher.

Texas_Ace posted measurements of many of his builds in his MT09R modding thread.

Here and here are two examples of 5700K lights measured at 20,000+ lumens by TA.

‘Newlumen’ measured a 5700K MT09R here at about 20,000 lumens.

Remember, these lights need quality high-drain cells to reach maximum output. I use Samsung 30Qs, but others in the thread mention using Sony VTC 6 or VTC 5A.

Yes… it actually 21000 @ turn on… then 20000 lumen… I have not seen many triple xhp70.2 that do 20k lumen… TA driver is one of the main reason that push led harder…

You’re just a few minutes too late. The 4000K 80CRI model just sold.

The primary difference is the color temperature of the emitters.

I don’t have a way to measure output, but they appear equal in brightness to my eyes.

MT09Rs with these emitters consistently measure around 20,000 lumens by most folks.

I got the light today (via a co-worker… I have to mail off site due to wife!)

At first I was like, eh… it’s bright…

Then I got it out tonight and purposely played with the Q8 first (Co-worker messed up the modes)…
I did my usual back yard, then the park across from me…

Turned this thing on, and I believe double tap for turbo? anyway … WOW

5k to 20k isnt a 4 times brightness increase… but it is A LOT ! and the area it covers… makes the Q8 look cute by comparison.
