I don’t know much about Electronics but there must be something wrong with the circuitry or wiring why that fifth one will not work. The LED is not fried. Just doesn’t work.
If you’re going to just recycle it why not take it apart and see if there are any bad solder joints, etc? Who knows, maybe it just something as simple as a bad joint.
I agree. That was an expensive flashlight that’s not made anymore and a unique one too. There really aren’t any around like that anymore. The driver and 12 volt output makes it hard to mod and fix, but still a unique host.
You might want to teley lower quality batteries with it. Who knows what Vihn did to that orherwise really good Acebeam driver to make it kill otherwise solid LEDs. For the record the xhp35 HI (gen 1) don’t like being overdriven.
This is to both of you gentlemen. Gentleman. Why don’t you buy it for $65? I don’t know how to take it apart and use stuff. Hoping someone buys it. Otherwise I’ll be tossing it off the Douglasville Bridge into the Schuylkill River on June 4th.. my 66th birthday!
I want to be surprised at all if they were bad soda joints. I sent my K1 to get fixed by the guy in hawaii. First thing he male emails back is just a slice of mess who did it!? When he put a new driver on he didn’t remove the old solder the wires were loose that’s the end of the story got a concentrate on the how you can throw it’s a lot of bears out here
