Some Custom lights - New update 25.07.2015

Hi,
Here some lights I made:

A thrower which uses a Supbeam K40 reflector and two 18650 batteries as a power supply.

A pretty tough 18650 sized light, which is waterproof up to at least 50 meters and features a 3500mA driver:
An 18650 light which has a side switch and works with a Lux-Rc light engine:
Next there is another 18650 light, which features a 4000k XM-L2 and a two mode driver:
Since you guys are also interested in the tools I am using, here are some more pictures of the lathe which I redid a few months ago (scraping and adjusting the spindle...)
A copper light with two bodies (18650 and 18340) and a lux-rc l334 light engine:

A 1/3 AAA Body for a worm copper:

This is my first AA Light:
It has a very rugged design and thick walls...
Next comes a 18500 EDC with a LuxRC Triple board:
There is already a thread about this light in the forum:
https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/6927#node-8063

Then this is another EDC in which fits a 18650 LiIon. I guess it is the smallest 18650 light with a button in the world :)
It is only 91,8 Millimeters long!
It also uses a LuxRc light engine
A size comparison to a normal sized 18650 Light...

This one is one of the brightes LED-Throwers.
It reaches about 340 000 Lux and has more throw than a PH50...

Here is also a thread about it:

https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/8267

Very small, but also powerful with about 5500 lux at 1 meter:
Some better pictures:

A normal sized Light:
My first homemade light:
A 3xXM-L fatty powered by three 18650 batteries:
The Heat sink:
It has a very nice Low Bat warnig :) :
If you want some more (better) pictures and some information here is the original thread:

A Thrower Head for light beneath the head:
It cracked the 200 klux
By this one I was inspired by the 4Sevens X10. I love the output and great size but not the UI and the switch.
So I designed my own one driven by one 26650 li ion, with a Ultrafire C8 smooth reflector in it and another UI:

The next one is more floody. Driven by two 26650 li ion with three XM-L T6 and a 9A driver.

Now my favourite 18650 light. It took me very much time to develop an build it. It uses a XM-L U2 on a zero restistance pcb with an Taskled Lflex:

The smallest parts

And finally the latest light. It has a copper head, a XM-L T5 neutral white and no reflector
It is a real beauty

So that´s it but more are already in production

I am looking forward to your questions and answers to this thread!
Sorry for the bad grammar

Greetings from Germany
Fritz

AWESOME !

YOU SIR , ARE AN ARTIST !

And I would like to thank you so much for sharing your work ,

And I would sure love to see a beamshot of the copperheaded one ....

Bravo! Your machine skills are way better than mine ever thought about being.

Wow

The first one and the second one look great !

Are they made of aluminium ? How much time do you need, to machine all parts for the first model (the one with C8 reflector)?

Any chance for mass production of hosts only ? ;)

amazing stuff! what battery does the small copper head use?

1x 16340 3,7V LiIon ...

I am at a loss for words!

How the.. Where did.. What were you.. Is that.. Square threads.. Who's idea.. WHEW!

Major positive trip happening here :-) I am SOO smiling right now.

In fact I'm not sure I am allowed to watch this thread for my wife LOL

That is so amazing Fritz! I'll come back with questions when they materialize. I had a question I wanted to ask you through Andi also on here but right now I cant remember what it was. Awesome work!

WOW - just beautiful...I love that copper one! Contrast looks great.

Gorgeous!!!!! Not much else to say there...just GORGEOUS!!!!

i think you should still consider selling some. i am positive there would be interest from many of us.

Wow. Very impressed. Excellent work hands down.

Thanks for posting these, Fritz. Your pics on the Taschenlampen-forum played a part in my recent acquisition of a hobby lathe.

Amazing work !

May we have more, please?

extraordinary work there!

oh man am I seething with envy!

that's not a bad thing though, like chicago-x said, seeing this stuff is a great motivator

what I'll have to settle for not having is your artistry.

Maybe I could copy your work but if I tried to design my own the aesthetics would not look nearly as coordinated. very nice work.

I love the big 3 Catapult reflector light. Thats my kind of style right there! That would be a beast to own but in a 3x26650 format.

Hello,

Thank you very much :)

That´s always great to hear such things!

If you want to I can upload the drawings of the lights

I will upload some more pictures

If you are registered at www.taschenlampen-forum.de

Here are the topics to the lights:

Also we have an english sub forum ;)

It took me about 20 hours to build that light and all lights are made out of aluminium (AlCuMgPb)

Fritz

Fritz, you are a master machinist! Your lights are incredibly beautiful and simply stunning! You are an inspiration to all of us who dream of creating similar torches. May we know what you use to machine these works of functional art? a CNC machine or a hobby lathe?

Oh, and WELCOME to BLF!!!

Very nice Fritz15.

I like the relative simplicity of the last one, but somehow I think it would be out of my budget if you were selling them :)

Oh my, now I´ve seen it all!!! -> picking the jaw from the floor

The copper mule, cannot understand why there are so little mules present at market...
