Hi, i have a big problem here after taking my imalent r60 out of STORAGE over the summer (i dont use flashlight during summer evenings are too bright). As soon as i installed the batteries and tighten the head, one emmitter die came on with a popping or clicking sound and wont turn off with the rest of them. I only used my flashlight for a brief period of time to walk my dog (middle 2 mode, not turbo) when two of the leds began clicking and flickering before failing altogether. Because there was no burn marks on the led phosphorus, i guess this was a driver fault and something somehow internally shorted out. I email the company and they wont look at it seen as the flashlight is about 4 years old and the model has been discontinued. Can anyone help me get it going, maybe suggest a replacement driver i can install.
Sad to see your light died… unless imalent can sell you a driver, I have no suggestions… might be time to cut your losses and start shopping for a different light.

Thanks for your reply. I highly doubt imalent will sell me a driver. Its glued in and appears to be a sealed unit. Also the light is discontinued which most likely means the part isnt made anymore. Im extremely disappointed because this flashlight was something amazing with its brightness and range.

I may be wrong but if only some leds failed, maybe it is something related to those leds and not the driver.
I would suggest opening the bezel and removing it, the lens and the reflector and check if the wires from driver to MCPCB are OK and also if there is something in the leds that shows that they may have a failure.
If you able to solder, try and resolder those failed leds and put it back together again.
If not, try asking someone from here that can check that fot you in case you can send him/her the flashlight.
It honestly doesn’t seem related to the driver, but, again, I may be wrong …
