Sometimes I think the flashlight gods hate me...

So I purchased a Trustfire X6 from that Trustfire Outlet guy on aliexpress.com. I read about somebody having Trustfire flame’s explode inside his X6, so I decided to go full retard and bought 6 Panasonic NCR18650B 3400 mAh batteries for it. Now I get the light today and slide in the 3 Panasonics….and the tail cap wont screw down all the way and if I keep screwing it down, the light just stays on :weary:

So guess who is running protected Trustfire flame’s in their X6 now with $60 worth of Panasonic batteries sitting in a drawer? This guy. :frowning:

Well, send me those batteries and they won’t be taking up any of your valuable drawer space!

That stinks, I guess there is only one thing you can do.

Buy a flashlight they will fit in.

Are they protected? Mine had the opposite problem: the batteries were to short for it. ;)

You could try leaving the tailcap unscrewed a bit, or unscrew the extension/head a bit.

unprotected panas are too short in tiny monster

protected generic panas (70.xxmm) are too long

The Panasonic’s are protected, yeah.

You could also cut down the tailcap spring.

I think the best solution would be to buy more 18650 lights to make use of those cells.

LOL, yeah!
That is the BFL solution to everything!

(I actually noticed the same in my TR-3T6 light. With protected NCR18650B 3400. 3 batteries was about 1 mm too long if I was going to screw it properly tight. I could probably use it, but the batteries would be pressed hard together and I would not like to ruin/bend the front. 2 batteries is no problem though, which is the way I planned to use the light. Its just that extension for the 3rd battery is a bit short.
