Source for 18650s in Canada

Hello fellow Cunucks!

I am new here and have a quick question for my Canadian Brethren. I am about to order my first Convoy S2+ and see that I can’t order the batteries at the same time. Can someone point me to the best deal in Canada for 18650’s and 18350s please.

I have a few 18650s and 18350s for Vaping already but only 2-3 cells. I normally get them from a local Vape shop but I fear I am way overpaying. Any advice would be appreciated! Also, I am looking at unprotected cells as I would like to use them for vaping too…. What is the current favourite brand and mAH?

Cheers!

I don’t know the shipping restrictions in Canada you can try gearbest be prepared for 4-7 week lead times I ordered 8 batteries over 2 weeks ago still not shipped. But it will come. There’s fastech. Banggood, if that fails order s new laptop battery pack off amazon and disassemble them. Do not use these for vaping. Unless its like a 10-15watt mod. Or a powerbsnk has 18650 batteries in it. Or you have someone in the is order and ship the batteries should make it through customs. I could get it through customs. A simple example I’ve given before 4 batteries will easily fit in a stuffed animal customs if they opened it wouldn’t think twice. 99% of packages never get opened. Or in a small hollowed out book. If I was desperate enough. This is how we got illegal stuff in Iraq and Afghanistan. You get a jar of peanut butter. Take a razor blade slice the seal off carefully scoop out the middle portion put the batteries in a container inside scoop the peanut butter back in carefully hot glue the seal back on and it makes it to the troops. Except we weren’t asking for batteries. You can do it with big vitamin bottles as well. My point being if there’s a will there’s a way. If your country has sucky laws someone will help. Me included if you get desperate enough for batteries. Your paying for the peanut butter though

Fantastic suggestions mate! I could order to my buddies PO box in Niagara Falls drive down and put a bunch of 18650s seran wrapped into a brick of cocaine. I didn’t even consider that option until now. Cheers! :disappointed:

EDIT:
Gearbest + Fasstech are a nonstarter. They both clearly state that shipping is not available to Canada. Sucky import laws but great healthcare!

Bring me some BC bud and you can have my batteries lol. But imrbatteries is us domestic battery source you can order and they’ll be there like 3 days after they ship. Just drive down and drive back across the border. They won’t care about lithium batteries in your car. Imrbatteries will probably be your cheapest USA domestic option there is mtn electronics slightly more expensive. And illumin supply etc

Did you try Amazon.ca?

AliExpress seems to ship anywhere without issues.

if u want to buy it locally, look for drill batteries pack at walmart, home depot, rona, etc. I once bought a drill pack for $10 on clearance and found 3*high drain sanyo inside. if u don’t mind old cells, try the recycle bin.

Thanks guys, I didn’t even think to check Amazon.ca

There are some Sanyo 2500 mAH that seem like a decent price with free shipping. I know 3000 mAH would probably be better but I am looking at $15 per cell for Panasonics. That’s the price of them at the B+M Vape shop….

Those are more expensive then what he pays at vape shops. Best thing I’ve seen is order to the p.o. box and just cross the border and pick them up. He could get 4 batteries pretty much shipped for the price of one off those Canadian websites. But flashlight brand rewraps are always going to be ridiculously high.

That’s one reason I never understood people buying efest and other rewraps they cost more then the name brand manufactures

Just order some from AliExpress
There was this topic with same issues for Brazil
I linked to Panasonic protected cells there (on the phone now)

Have a look at Canvape if you want delivery at reasonable cost.
There aren’t any decent places in Toronto to buy 18650 and 18350 cells other than the vape shops.

Have you tried 180 Smoke at 657 Younge Street?

Thanks for all the leads guys. I was hoping maybe there was some yet undiscovered (by me) source for Canadians. I don’t mind grabbing a few more cells from 180 Smoke. I have bought here before.
Cheers!

I live in the US, but highly recommend Mountain Electronics which now ships to Canada as well as other countries outside the US. I have no idea what the shipping costs are. I am fussy about where I’ll purchase 18650 batteries.

I buy from illumn.com or mtn electronics. Shipping starts at $10 but I find enough to make it worth it.
