SRK 32x 7135 Driver from MT electronics question

I was wondering, the info says the driver is designed for SRK style flashlights, but can it operate and change modes on Solar Storm type(with a back mech switch only) of a flashlight, that dont have an electronic switch?

It could do that, you just have to choose the right firmware.

“SRK Special.” 7 well spaced modes give you a wide range of versatility!
2.“MOONLIGHT Special.” Special Dual PWM firmware and wiring allow for the lowest moonlight level possible! Includes 7 well spaced modes.
3.“Choose Your Own.” You pick the number of modes and their levels. e.g.: 2% - 25% - 100% 1.Please enter your desired mode selection in the checkout comments!

Those are the options, what should i choose? It there anything suitable by defauly?

If you are ordering from Mountain Electronics, have a chat with him. You’ll need to use a different firmware altogether. The one listed there (STAR momentary) is for E-switch only. The hardware is no different, but you’ll need to ask him to flash it with the standard STAR firmware, but with the modes of your choice.

You’ll need to contact Richard and have him custom make it. I’m not sure how similar the SRK driver is to a standard 105c, but it might be as simple as replacing the MCU with one from a normal 105c.

STAR momentary switches modes by pin input from the E-switch. The standard STAR switches mode by measuring how long it was on (by mechanical switch). No need to switch MCU. Just ask RMM about this and he’ll know what firmware you will need.

Thanks for the fast tips, i will do that

The hardware is the exact same as a standard 105C, just with a bigger board and more 7135s, so a standard clicky firmware can also be used, or a dual switch setup.
