I am at the final planning stage for a project that will use the 32x 7135 srk driver but due to the number of emitters I want to add ten 7135s. Rather than piggybacking I was wondering if it would be more practical to use the 26mm 7135 slave board on RMM’s site. It would allow me to add 7135s without taking the risk of damage to the driver. Would it work? I was also considering the use of an aluminum plate to conduct heat from the 7135s. Opinions?
Yes it would work. Check around the site for ideas on an aluminum plate, it has been done a few times, no off the shelf solutions that I’m aware of though. Off the shelf meaning a place where you could go buy them.
@jhalb I have a suitable piece of 6061 on hand. It should be no problem cutting it to shape. I’ll pm RMM to inquire if he’d be willing to reflow the 7135s to the slave board.
