I can’t see where it’s “better” than the old P7. Are the dies closer together? Is it smaller?

Unless I am missing something, they don't look like they are special or any better than cree.
If so maybe it’ll be a better thrower?? Anyone buy one of these yet?
This reminds me of the MCE,I don't see any reason to buy this emitter none of the specs impress me.

I see 530lm at 1400ma what about at 2800ma ? will the number of lumens close to double ?
Got one of the “authentic” Ultrafires with the Z7 emitter from fasttech. Had to see what the deal-ee-oh was. It’s okay. Floody. Maybe 600 lumens? Driven to 2.8ish. Gets warm but not hot. Small but noticeable dim spot in the beam center.
Nice little light but nothing special. Will keep it for the curiosity factor of having a weird emitter. But not to worry, don’t see the Z7 dethroning the T6/U3/xm-l-2 any time soon …. Although, I think I read somewhere (or maybe dreamed it) that EACH of the four emitters could be driven to 2.8, producing a 4x500 lumen effect. Did anyone hear about this or did I in fact dream it?
Anyway, I might do a review if I have time. But really busy for the next 10 days.
Would be interesting alternative if we didn’t have the Cree XM-L line of emitters, but we do, so this doesn’t seem to be much of a big deal.
