I thought a few people might like to see one of these guys up close and personal. I'll add this to my emitter stciky as well.

This is a single mode P60 SST-50 drop-in with SMO from solarforce-sales.

Can't get 100% focus on the die but those are very amazing shots. Thanks for posting.

In an L2X with a single protected Xtar 18700, it's pulling a little over 2.50 amps.

not bad it would throw some light, what do you think of it compared to an xm-l i know thats like comparing apples to oranges.

To my eye, it's not as bright. It's a 3-6 volt but even when I go 2 x CR123 it's not as bright.

i guess you would have to double the herb,s to match a decent xm-l drop in, ive been wanting to try one but for the price of a drop in you can get an xm-l torch.

Yep.

When I review this over-priced item, I will roast it for costing more than a complete, and brighter, XM-L flashlight. Took the plunge because, well, because it was there, same as Mt. Everest. Except it's not awesome like Mt. Everest or impressive like Mt. Everest and apparently, Mt. Everest is a bad analogy for this SST-50 because . . .

4 + amps I have a P60 with 1.5amps and that sucker gets hot

The P60 was my first drop in all others have been screw in’s I was a surprises at the heat with, but I guess I should not of been
