SST 90 situation.

So I have a Trustfire X6 with the SST90. It has been sitting for more than 10 yrs.
It was working fine before. I went to turn it on, and it was bright for a millisecond.
Then it turned into a 50 lumen light in Hi, a 20 lumen in medium and a 10 in lo.
Is there anything that can be done to save it?.
I doubt it can be turned into a good host. It has a humongous pill.
If something can be done, I’m willing to send it to someone how can fix it.
Maybe install an STB 90.2, or am I dreaming.
It has the size and the fins to handle any type of powerful emitter.
Maybe some of you remember the light.
Your input will be appreciated.
Cheers.

P.S. I’ve tried 4 sets of batteries. From 4A to 30A.

What condition are the cells in? Are they protected cells? Matching, newer cells and freshly charged? Bad switch maybe? Loose retaining ring(s)?

A bit of diligence and I’m confident you can determine the issue

The cells are brand new 4.17v to 4.20v. Switch is fine, I think. Dunno.
Retaining rings???. What is that?.
All I know about flashlights is to buy them.
Every time I try to mod one, I break it (more than 20). All thumbs.
Thank you for your reply.
Cheers.

Is the LED damaged with darker areas? If you turn it on at the lowest level and point it to a mirror or to a magnifying glass pointing to the wall (not to your eyes!) at the right distance to examine the LED, do you see burn out areas?

If not the issue is only the driver or maybe something else, not the LED.

In the lowest level, I can see yellowish color with may be some darker spots.
What is sure is that it shakes like a leaf in Low.
Ur turn.
Thank you for your reply.

Cheers.
