Stainless Steel/Clear Anodized 1x18650 Hosts?

Anyone know what options there are for some nice shiny 18650 hosts? I’m aware of Solarforce’s small medieval mace P60 host, but I was more thinking a tube light like the Convoy S series. I’ve been teased for so long by the clear ano S2, but I don’t think I can wait any longer. Ideally, I want to build a clear triple S2 and have parts coming, but I’m impatient as hell and want to build my second light.

I know that SS is inferior for conducting heat and is heavy, but having held my still nonfunctional S41 (sob) and loving it, I think I could deal with it. I saw the silver BLF A6 and I do like the appearance of it, but having played with raw AL before, I’m scared that it would scratch and dent quite easily.

So anyone out there aware of any more options? Preferably inline with the “B” in “BLF” Also, does the BLF A6 share any components with the Convoy S series (like reflectors and whatnot).

TL:DR, Need shiny shit.

Been looking for this also. Ever since I got a Maratac 123 SS. I have been wanting a 18650 SS host.

Prince, but it has carbon fiber also.

there are a few hosts but weight and heat makes it not an ideal material for a host

I think the convoy S7 may be what you are looking for. Can’t seem to find it in host only though, you might have to ask Simon directly.

Aren’t there rumors Convoy might release a clear S2+?
Otherwise some paint remover, good compound and some work could lead to a stripped and polished S2+.

Damn, that looks good. My only concern is that it appears to be bare Al, though it does say anti scratch… I was under the impression that the clear anodization was implemented somewhat recently in the L6 and C8, and that the S7 was an older light. Is there a way to message on Aliexpress without placing an order?

Yeah, I mentioned that in the OP. I do want a clear anodized S2+, but there have been few updates on it recently, may have been shelved in favor of the Tan+Black one in the works?
I’m just worried about the longevity of the finish on a stripped and polished light, I am under the impression that raw Al is quite soft.

If money is not a problem and you like CF…have a look at the Lumintop Prince SS

A triple is easily doable (I’ll do that with mine) since its inside diameter is 20mm

I don’t know of any shiny tube hosts but there is a shiny UltraFire WF-504B that is less medieval than that Solarforce.

Looks amazing, but not really my style; not to mention I’m hesitant to start messing with expensive lights at the moment… Not nearly skilled enough for that.

Length is same as S6. I presume it should take 18650.

I own one of those and have built it. Can not recommend it by the poor design.

Build: Stainless Steel KSH-S12024 Host from Kaidomain

That’s a shame; I really liked the appearance of it too. A illuminated tailcap would look gorgeous with that boot.

It’s not a tube, but the Astrolux SS is nice, shiny stainless (and copper!) and uses a 18650. Can also be made into a triple, if desired. And anything can be a host depending on your budget

I’m hoping for the clear anodized S2+ too. With metal clickie.

I think that they are trying to perfect the PVD finish on the switch (black, I guess) that people wanted. I’d be fine with the silver switch though, especially if it means I could get it faster.

I find that lights that take 18mm batteries are honestly slightly too large for my pocket carry. I can deal with it, but an enlarged head pushes it over the edge for me. I am definitely considering purchasing another tailcap for my S41S and turn my defunc head (if I can open it) and my other battery tube into another light.
