True that Foy! Performance aside, just love the durability of SS. Better if its bead blasted, just me.
The manafont SS 504 is alot more tempting to me.
It is definitely different and way overpriced. That's for sure. I have 2 of the Manafont Ultrafire 504 hosts. They are nice to look at but HEAVY. I keep them in my cars for emergency use, loaded with CR123's and an XP-G 5 mode LED. Probably a good place for them.
They should make the L2T in Titanium. If the price was right, I'd be in for that! With the original knurling of course. 
not just you - that's why I own a blast cabinet - I like everything matte - unless of course it is something I'm selling to someone that likes shiny 
Bead blast is awesome and shiny is cool too but no finish can make ugly pretty.

I came today #55. really smart. but the surface is more sensitive than that of the L2M SS!
As a fan of the L2T I hate that they called it an L2T Special Edition. Looks nothing like an L2T with that ugly diamond pattern on it. Even the L2X is prettier than this one. Machining also doesn't look like the normal crisp SF machining we are used to seeing on their lights. I agree with dthrckt, it looks like putty.
Maybe it's just the lighting on that one single, solitary, one crappy angle, too dark to see any details, we won't let you see it from any other angle - not this product or anything else we sell...ever, picture they posted. I honestly don't think I'd pay $10 for that unless I knew a sucker I could resell it to for a profit. 
Any updated photos? Better than the photos on the website?

How heavy is it compared to the regular L2T? Does it feel like twice the weight? It does have a lot of BLING!
It's really nothing like an L2T at all. It's kinda funny; if it had been called something other than an L2T it may have gotten a better response. The comparison is half the problem. The other half is that it's fugly.

Regarding the purdy vs putty look , stainless i guess is hard to work . i imagine they took a huge buffing wheel to polish it, helping take the edges down some and taking away some of the sharpness on the edges. maybe they did that with pocket carry in mind ...?
my biggest question is it coated ? and if you like flashy flashlights maybe chrome over aluminum is the way to go , black chrome 
I think you may be onto something here...the L2T is one of SF's most attractive offerings, and to share a name with this....this thing is unfortunate, at best.
A re-pop of the L2M SS, or even the L2 SS would have been more well-received, IMO.
Just received one with an early number.. and a A001 Strike Bezel. This thing is like the Solarforce "Edsel"...
If this thing had a red lens in it with the long strike bezel, it would look a lot like an early Cadillac Taillight..
SS looks good but no good for heat sink. Very hot on high mode if use XML!
