I talked Sunny at http://www.lightmalls.com into getting some new U3 hardware and she did it immediately here is the link:

Immediately? Taken literally, that would have to mean that all they did was edit some listings so they could sell T6’s as U3’s. I’m certain that sort of thing is happening, because most users wouldn’t be able to tell the difference given the array of other variables in the budget light equation.

Maybe, but I did order 2 C8s. Have dealt with Sunny at Lightmalls for at least a year. I have been emailing them for some time about getting so new LEDs. Yesterday, I asked her about the U3 emitters, and she said she would try to get some—so I ordered two. Will find out in about two weeks, I have several torches to compare, 6 x Q5 Trustfire, a SST-50 Trustfire 2 18650s, 7 x T6 3 26650s Trustfire. Will let everyone know, later on… H)

I bought a U2 from lightmalls and actually got a U2. So that's good on their part.

But for them to turn around inventory and immediately "have" a bunch of lights in U3.... gotta be a little bit skeptical on that.

Chiszhou did a review on the Lightmalls C8, U2 and the Lightmalls C12 with a listed T6, but a probable U2 with great heat sink that you can read.

They have been very fair to me, so I will just have to trust and wait. For a Budget <20, it is worth a shot.

those are EZwhites, different kind of led, work on 12V, hardly suitable for flashlights

Intl outdoors has had u3 1c for a bit, long enough for me to have some here and I’m not the quickest on the uptake.
