still ISO: Anti-roll rings!

Hi all,

Requesting a source for some different sizes of rubberized anti-roll rings, preferably hexagonal or octagonal. Primarily looking for 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25mm, 28-29mm, 40mm, and 51mm inner diameters, bolded sizes taking precedence.

Would appreciate any assistance or direction; I found some 40mm rings on Amazon, but would prefer to buy them all from one place in addition to other gadgetry a particular shop might offer, i.e. lenses, clips, that kind of thing.

Thanks in advance!

Would this work?:

totally would! thanks! now for the other sizes, lol…

Depending how many you want, it might be feasible to make a mould of what you want then use silicone to cast the hexagons?

Is TPU sufficiently flexible to allow these to be 3D printed?

2 Thanks

I would also go with 3D printing using TPU (for AMS) or PEBA material.

I can make you a model if you give me the exact dimensions and a design sketch.

Very much depends on the design
I have printed things out of TPU with a lot of walls and infill, they are barely bendable.
But when you are using not much material, TPU is very flexible. Not like silicone, though

You could print moulds for silicone.

Or print the ring from rigid material and use a or multiple small grub screws with a plastic tip to hold it onto the light

Might try that out, I’ve got plenty of silicone and pexiglass laying around…

TPU would probably be ideal as the most bump/deform resistant option, and rigid enough not to “roll” off the light..I’ll try the above method first, and get back to you if it doesn’t work as intended…appreciate the offer!

barely bendable would be ideal, but preferably at least 1mm thick on the thinnest portions, i.e. the flats of the ring.
