Unfortunately I missed out on this light and I can’t find anywhere on the web with these for sale.
Does anyone know where I could look or should I start a WTB thread here and hold my breath?

I think at the last fire sale they were offering these at $15. Someone must have purchased a few of them and is willing to sell you one. I have over 100 lights and this one is one of my favorites, with an amazing beam/tint. Best to you.
I scoured the web for one too; no luck. If you find them, let me know!
You didn’t miss much. It was cloned from the Jaxman Z1, and not a very good clone at that. Here’s the real thing https://jaxmanjaxman.aliexpress.com/store/1812094
I think i had mine when Bangood were trying to bin off the last of them due to the ‘issues’ that they had. The Cometa came free with the BLF A6! Just checked and the page for the light no longer exists, even from the order history page.
@mattadores I guess I had one if you really want. But not sure where. I would have to find it.
I have one I’ll trade you for whatever? Make me an offer; no money involed please.
Thank you for the replies, someone did get back to me about buying one for a good price but shipping to good ole Canada ended up being almost 50% of his asking price.
I’m interested but only if any of you happen to live in CA or can actually ship things inexpensively?
I’d also be interested in the trade lampliter but my collection isn’t that vast yet so I’m not sure what you may be interested in?
Maybe tell us what is the maximum price (with shipping) you can pay. Or post lights which you want to trade.
…… do you have an Emisar D4S you want to trade?
I collect knives, paracord, lighters, coins, and of course any kind of light, the weirder the better.
I can check with the P.O. on shipping from Florida to CA.
Also any kind of camping equipment.
lol yeah I guess once offers rolled in I should’ve just stated that.
CDN exchange is horrendous and I’m paying 1.39% on USD. Given that this is a light I’m looking for as a project and will be dropping more money into the conversion I’d be willing to do $45 USD FOB Calgary, AB
I’m not sure what they’re worth so I’m not sure if that’s outrageous or not
Banggood was dumping ’em for 15bux a pop, and Smart People who saw the thread in time kinda stocked up.
I shouldda gotten double what I did…
For fittybux, why not just try to get a Jaxman Z1? Or is it a Jazman X1? Eh, whatever…
Pretty much the same exact thing as the Cometa, but way nicer quality in lots of ways. Extra part in the zoomie end (sort of a travel-stop ring, iirr), glass lens, etc.
You’ll thank me later.
Here ya go…
for the XHP50 version, czech out the “From this seller” part for the XM-L2 versions (buncha options).
Cheapest Z1. Take a look at this product description link I fished inside the page source code. Terrible mode spacing, 100Hz strobe aaand:
WTF?
Cheers :-)
Yeah the cheapest Jaxman is $58 with free shipping that is 39-59 days
the second link is $53 + $7.53 to Canada with the same shipping speed
yeah $15 would’ve made for a great project light. I think I’m just going to pass on buying one period.
I only wanted this to add a very particular light to my collection: I want a light saber that has zero spill and a ridiculous beam that is only used for showing off a beam of light soaring through the sky.
Aspheric lights seem very rare and I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I’ll have to build my own. I’m converting a DOA FT03 to a white flat once Lexels drivers are ready so maybe I’ll utilize that host to painstakingly convert it to an aspheric
Mmmm, then get an SK98 and do a Barkuti on it. Should be well within your budget.
This one is probably terrible quality (driver ? lens ?) but is the closest to the cometa. Maybe a decent host.
Can be found on aliexpress with several brand names at different prices, for example : Alonefire or Shustar.
That looks like a lens transmittance measurement.
Also known as Warsun X50 and Warsun X65. I think it was said somewhere around here it is not very mod friendly.
This other SENYU looks a lot more badass. ;-)
Well, the SK98 is pocketable, fits a ∅20mm driver and the lens sits close to the emitter in flood. But the lens is small, the pill may need a fix and the switch will need a fix.
Now that Simon has launched newer high current linear drivers (a stock 8A with funny user interface and a classic 5A with temperature management) it may be a good idea to try some UniqueFire aspheric host.
Can someone recommend the best aspheric UniqueFires? I like the ones which allow the emitter to sit close to the lens in flood, I love wide flood.
Cheers ^:)
