Two of my favorite lights are gone. Had some friends staying with us and now I have noticed that two of my favorite lights are gone.
Shiningbeam Caveman and Shiningbeam S Mini. Those people won’t be invited to my home again.
So, for my birthday the other day I decided to replace them. While I was at it, I decided to give another one of Bryan’s lights a try. Romisen RC 602 X Cree XM L U2. Says it’s 950 lumens. I have one of Bryan’s older RC 601 ll lights. Great preformer but no memory and poorly spaced 2 modes. If this new 602 is what I hope it will be, it should make a fine light to mount on a rifle.
Anyway, it sucks when someone walks off with some of your babies.
I would be wild if anyone walked off with any of my lights!
Did you say they were “friends”?
i’ve had similar happen. knives and tools.
invite them back, put everything away except some bait and get it on video.
you could offer them some advice in case they decide to “buy” those lights, pretty good way of saying i know you stole them without saying i know you stole them
Thieves should lose one finger for each stolen item.
Great ideas from post 3 and 4. But its good to know that they should not stay in your buddies list.
Have you ever had someone in your life that you really didn’t like but they seem to want to hang around you all the time? These people were somewhat like that. They know what they did and would feel uncomfortable around us now. I have to say, it’s worth losing those lights to not have to ever put up with those time wasters, energy vampires and morons all wrapped up in one. I can replace the lights but I can never get back all the time I spent befriending those morons. My life will forever be dumbed down by having known them.
good way to look at it…paying them to go away
did they stop showing up after the theft or did you put a stop to their visits because of it?
A little of both. Plus the fact that we have been away from home on business for about 10 months now.

Don’t beat yourself up too bad, we’ve all had people like that in our lives and sometimes it just takes that little bit to get them to leave and give them up. It’s good it was was just a light or two and nothing worth any substantial value or anything like that.
I’ve had people walk of with numerous cheapies in the past but I didn’t really mind it, now-a-days though I would mind it more. Luckily I’ve only had one light disappear after collecting and I found it later in a pile of stuff, clip must have slipped and it fell :8).
I had a cheap bike light stolen once and I could have sworn I saw some kids running around with it later. Meh, wasn’t worth the effort to try and get it considering the mounting bracket was smashed anyways.

That’s the way I would look at, its a good way to avoid those kinds of people without feeling bad about it.
Yes it’s easier this way and I don’t even have to talk to them. I’m rid of them without having to tell them to their face to go perform a sexual imposibility to themselves.
Two of your lights are gone, possibly forever.
If there is one consolation to consider, think of it this way:
Be thankful you are not like them!
If that happen to me, somebody would be putting those flashlights back where they got them no questions asked. I then would tell them to never come back on my property period.
