Suggestions for Budget 18650 battery bank floodlight

Hi, I’m looking for a budget light and I know this is the best place to ask for recommendations:

My budget is $40 max but sub $25 would be obtimal

Musts:

  • The light I need must be compatible with 18650 batteries, it can be higher capacity support but it must work safely with 18650.
  • There must be a powerbank feature in the light with USB-C interface.
  • I’m rather looking for a floody light than throw.
  • Lockout mode

Good to haves:

  • Colored lenses (not LEDs)
  • Lumen power is not that important, if it has at least 1500lm that’s fine.
  • If there is a magnetic or tactical button tailcap extension
  • If there are plastic diffusers available
  • Anduril 2.0 is not strictly necessary, if the light has great control functionality and strobe modes such as SOS, beacon, bikelight etc. But it’s good to have
  • Flashable firmware
  • Cranelated bezzel
  • Great 2 way clip.
  • light design
  • If there is a single emitter, then Orange Peal reflector or similar
  • High beam angle
  • Neutral white color
  • EU manufacturer/warehouse/reseller/no tax shipping.
  • Non-chinese manufacturing

I’ve already taken a look at some Wurkkos flashlights, namely the TS26S which is pretty awesome and checks most of the boxes but it’s a bit on the bigger side for me. It’s also pretty new and makes me think if it will ever be available cheaper or a sub $25 price. Another light I’ve taken a look at is the FC13 but on the Wurkkos website it is completely sold out and it says Last batch so I don’t know when it will be available again if ever.

Thank you for all the recommendations in advance.

I hope you enjoy your stay, stinger6623!

1 Thank

Wurkkos HD15 4000k. High Cri on both LEDs. Only the flood on 5000k.

You can only get the 4000k on wurkkos site directly or through ali.
The flood LED is wider than most headlights and then you still get a normal pretty big spot that doesn’t really throw a long ways. Springs in both ends so it will take a flat top or a button top. The optional battery is not so great but you can get it without the battery and then put in whatever you want. Charges at 2 amps and I think the C output is 1 amp. Being able to clip it on a belt, pocket or other and go hands-free is quite often useful. And of course it works as a headlight.
It might not be what you were thinking of but I would not discount it right away.
And a pretty good sale going on right now at $25 with battery.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention I have been looking for the HD15 and HD15R as well. I have 3 sofirn 18650 batteries already, are they great enough? Why are the default batteries not that great? What I haven’t taken into account is the output amp. How important is that from a day to day powerbank usage? Are there any other lights that have higher amps?

Also should I get the Red light version of the HD15? Is the light that the red one replaces more useful than the red one?

Why should I choose the 4k instead of the 5k?

You can get battery adaptors to go from 18650 size to 21700. I don’t know how well they work though.
