Sup Beam K40 Vn (vinh from cpf) has landed! Sorry fellas NO pictures.

Just thought I had to include the no pictures on the title so there wouldnt be no joy kill after you click on this thread.

Gosh, I dont even know where to start haha. Ill try n mimic my reactions and what I did upon opening the light.
As expected, the light came nicely packaged. Once opened, I see this very cool tiny suitcase. I’ve seen pictures of it before, but wow, Its a pretty dope case. Just showing that off some friends is already impressive hahah. I’m so glad vinh was able to work out the deal to include these in his k40s because at first, china wasnt gonna ship them with the lights, but after some negotiations by vinh, they were able to include them.

So out came the k40, it was alot smaller than I expected and a bit lighter as well. Happy that I chose the k40 over the tn31 even more now.

I dont know about you guys, but this is my first AR lens, not even sure if it is AR or what, but holy crap, the lens alone and the reflector shocked the heck outta me. It literally gave me a big grin and I didnt even have the light on yet. I seriously cannot see the lens, its super clear and clean. I have yet to touch the lens because I dont wanna dirty it or leave a print haha.
And this is the nicest reflector I have ever seen. With the combo of the lens and reflector, it makes all my other lights seem as though there is a thin haze over the lens.
Not sure if these two were part of vinhs mods or comes stock, but if these are stock parts, major kudos to supbeam.

The only light I have that will sorta compete or to do some comparison test is my Lamda Varapower Turbo 2 which is dedomed sst-90 @ 155 lux, which isnt too much, but the hot spot to this is insanely bright. I shined both of them against my white wall, and to my dissapointed FOR THE VPT2, it put it to shame! It literally ate it up for lunch. I had to make sure I had the vpt2 on turbo because I couldnt believe it. So I brought the two lights outside. It is very sunny out, and about 75 degrees. I was able see the hotspots to both lights against my red fence at 15 feet away. Then I walked 25 feet, still managed to see both hotspots. But it was untill i was 40 feet away, was when the k40 took over. The hotspot to the k40 was dim but still noticable.

So with my cheap and fun way of comparision , the k40 clearly wins, but didnt see by much. Now I have to wait 9 hours for the sun to leave so I can have some real fun with my k40vn!

Congrats on your light!
