I have a question about the copper Tri-EDC, is the threading all the way up the head? Meaning instead of needing a spacer to use a triple we could just shorten the head and screw the pi further up (obviously you’d have to flatten the top of the pill with a small disk or some solution).
The Tri-EDC 18650’s only take 20mm Optics (6mm height)
The driver pill screws all the way to the top, correct.
It will take 20mm Tripple noctigon if thats what you’re asking, the top surface is machined flat and not 16mm recess like the standard pill.
What about the Al 18650? Reflector or TIR and what size MCPCB? How much heigh inside the pill (from top of driver board to bottom of emitter shelf)?
I think this will be my personal host for my RGBW_clicky (to bad it’ll have to use an XML color and not a quad). Is the base host cost for it $105 same as the brass 18650?
The Al host is $55 (now $44) and it has a reflector, you’ll need a 14mm long spacer for optics, $14.00

CK, you could hone down a quad optic to fit, at least for the diameter. Comfychair has done it with triples and it works well.
Assuming it takes a 20mm MCPCB I’ll take one of them!
