Surefire p3x fury

a friend of mine has a surefire p3x fury, he's getting tired of paying for the batteries and wants some rechargables. What's the best that he can get for his light? It uses 3 CR123A's in series.

There may other/better options but I have been using the tenergy LifePo4 cr123 rechargeable batteries in my P2x fury. They have a shorter runtime than primary batteries. Overall I have been happy with them. I purchased them from Battery Junction for about $3 a piece. LifePo4 is what Surefire recommends for their lights. They sell some on their website which are the K2 LFP123 batteries. I hear these are better quality than the Tenergy, but they also cost double. The only thing about LifePo4 batteries is that they require a special charger. The chargers are easily available though.

There are chargers like the Xtar Vp2 that can handle the all the battery types.

I have a few 3 cell Fury’s, I run the Soshine 3 volt RCR123A cells and a nitecore I4 charger. I have 6 batteries I rotate out. Whole rig with charger costs around $30.

I don’t think the i4 is designed for those 3v cells. I imagine you are not getting full charges.

2x17500?

The D2 and D4 charge them.

yea I wasn't sure, and still don't know, if two 17500's would be better in that light than the 16340's or cr123A's.. Was kinda hoping the community would know whats best lol..
