Swiss Army Knife

Do you really annoy your colleagues that much!?

Unless it has changed, I believe the Leatherman warranty is actually 25 years, but that's still generous considering the sort of work some people expect these multi-tools to accomplish.

Well, he did say 'two pence worth' rather than 'two cents'.....

He also said "pants pocket". Only my trousers have pockets. Tongue Out

At least some of the time :)

But I work in a psychiatric hospital - spent Tuesday in the very locked bit.

I used it every day for about 25 years and I loved it. One day I gave it away to a guy that needed one very badly, but couldn't afford to buy one. I had several other Victoinox knives. I just can't live without to carry one with me.

These days I carry the multitool Spirit (something like a Leatherman in a better quality ).

Btw, they have a life long warranty. I didn't break one yet, but my wife managed break the blade in half with brute force. So, we sent it to the factory and it came back like new.

Oh right, we believe you mate, yes you work there right? That's what they tell you anyway?

[Joking aside, credit to you, it's not a job I could do]

I said "pence" instead of "cents". Is that not what you folks call pennies?

Bloody hell! Now you chaps are just picking on me for the fun of it. That's not very civilized.

Yes mate, I was just pulling ya leg.

You should hear how they talk where I was born in East London, that would have you confused.

Cockney rhyming slang - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockney_rhyming_slang

"Yes mate, I was just pulling ya leg."

Luvva Duck an' Cor Bloimey Essexman, let's get into the spirit here! Cone's from Noo Joysey, after all.

Cone, I believe my compatriot means "Sure bud, I was just foolin' wid yuh".

I'm afraid we English coves are frightful duffers at this foreign lingo malarkey..

I realize it was all in good fun. Best part of coming here is that I always leave with a smile and a laugh. I read all about the Cockney rhyming slang at that link Essexman put up; sounds like it would be real fun after a few pints (ya, more Brit lingo for your enjoyment). And FYI, I was formally educated in the deep south, so I don't say "Noo Joysey" but I will eat sun dried opossum.

I don't know the model, but my victorinox has a locking blade, and I won't go back to one w/o

UK EDC requirement is less than 3 inch, non locking (i.e. slipjoint).

I had a Tinker once, and it was quite useful. Now it’s lost and I need to get another one.
