Like on facebook = free marketing = ‘no thank you’. I plan to un-like a popular brand due to their amazon only availability and am not willing to use my reputation to suport another self-serving brand. What’s next - asking for slogan suggestions as a contest then naming the winner an affiliate? No thanks, been there. In that case the ‘winning’ submission was part of my submission. I won’t give the name but I will never again buy their products.
2 - Only car-chargers I have reason to use are those that came with the goodies that need them. Eg, the handsfree doodad that clips onto the sun-visor has its own charger. Everything else, if I have a need to charge anything, I just use one of those “wallet” type charging boxes, and the appropriate cable (mini, micro).
This is kinda like the Motorola doodad I mentioned:
I keep one of these in the car (car has USB ports already)
It charges all types of batteries I use, it’s compact, and fairly inexpensive. Great little charger. I only keep single cell flashlight in the car, so only need to charge one battery at a time if ever needed. Bonus is that it can also be used as a power supply — take battery out of flashlight and use it to power cell phone or other USB powered device.
Story: I’ve have it in my car, but I’ve never had to use it so far.
2. My Radio Shack car charger. Good points is that it can charge 2 items at the same time and since one has an attached cable it never gets lost. The bad point is that the attached one only charges at 1A and the other one at .5A.
Pretty handy as to its versatility as it can use AC (autovolt) or DC voltage source. When I travel, this is the only charger I bring……not bad as an airline gift last Christmas!
