So I'm testing my 3-18v KD driver for my lawnmower headlight mod project and blew the fuse in my 12 power supply (leads touched - whoops!). So I had to come up with a way to test another 12v source. Here's what I did:
This pic cracks me up! All I could think during this was "I'm given' it all I've got captain!" LOL! Call me crazy!
BTW- on car battery input current 0.58A, emitter current 1.26A. I'll post more results over in RaceR86's thread tomorrow. Bed time now.
It's my organization system! Yep! I order stuff and never get around to doing anything with 90% of it! As you can see in the pic, I have organizer bins laying around ready to use! (See right side middle of photo for 2 units that hang on the wall with drawers and under the red rags for 2 of the flat style.) What you can't see is that I have two more under piles of junk in the middle of my bench! Those bins don't fill and organize themselves!
Nothing was staged in this photo (other than turning my heatsink with the LED upwards so the light output showed up better in the photo)! This is the real deal! Just keepin' it real man, keepin' it real!
Guess I should have turned off the shop lights for a photo too.
I dont' want to burst your bubble, but that's the case the jumper cables came out of. I was originally using it to lay one of the jumper cables on (already shorted my power supply, didn't want to short those jumper cables!). Then I got the bright idea to clamp the jumper cables to the 2x4 workbench legs and just clamp my alligator clip leads to them there.
