US to US gift transfers are free, US to Europe they charge a very small fee. I think Europe to Europe is free too.

34 % of charge for 1 dollar not very small for this amount, the problem is the fixed quote you always have to pay . so if you donate 10 dollar the proportion diminishes

Money sent. Paypal apparently doesn’t like Canada… had a 0,42$ USD fee. Then exchange rate on top of that. So please don’t send it back. I’m all for finding another way of gifting any leftover (different light, rebate in some store, rebate on a Meteor, small gift for the organizers, etc). It also seems like it would be a huge hassle to send all the money back.

If you use a credit card, that is the fee. If you use paypal balance or direct bank transfer, it’s 1% for international transfers. I used paypal balance. The fee was 3 cents for 3 dollars.

Here in Australia we pay fees with the credit card company and paypal also but it is depending on the credit card the fees you pay…
