New member and first post. Bought a Texas_Ace lumen tube from JLHawaii. Wanted to give a shout out to @Texas_Ace for his help. I was certain my tube was off since it read so many lights below manufacturers specs. T_A was kind enough to answer questions by email. When I learned I lived just 15 mins from him, he accommodated my visit to ask questions and test the tube. Yep, exactly the same lumens from his professionally calibrated light in his tube and mine. Really exact stuff. He was patient and helpful with a relative flashlight newb.

Yeah, it is a shock to most people how much manufacturers “Over rate/Lie” about their output but once you accept that and use the standard China rule 40% min. less than they say and then realize that is probably only within the first minute of operation, it gets easier.
The Texas Lumen tube is legit for sure.

Another +1 for Texas Ace & the TA lumen tube. Far and away THE best and most fun accessory I’ve bought for this hobby. Very thankful he went through all the trouble to create it.
Recommend to buy in case he stops making them. Cost is extremely reasonable (to me) for what it does and the effort into making it. My measurements from the TA lumen tube are very close to numbers posted by “pro” reviewers. Possibly because some pro reviewers use it also
