Interested in XHP70.2 Head without Reflector, with Tailcap and Battery-Carryer.
I want to make two flashlights from my first XHP35 with both tubes, which I plan to mod to aspheric with Collar.
To put some of the requests for other comboās of parts to rest.
There will be complete lights or the conversion kits sold. I am 98% sure there will not be the option for a light engine, or head alone. It would play havoc with their inventory.
I am also pretty sure that individual mcbpcbās and drivers will not be sold, at least at a price that would make sense over buying the complete kit. This price on the kit was hard enough to get or to even get them to offer it at all.
They wanted the GB price to be $75 for the conversion kit but they came down to $55 as a good will move for BLF. If they sold the mcpcb alone I am guessing it would be $40, in which case you might as well get the kit since the LED alone is worth the extra.
Now for the other parts like short tubes, reflectors, lenses and such, these have a real good / almost confirmed chance of happening along with any other āexternalā parts people may think of.
Texas Ace I submitted the form day before yesterday but got no conf. Email. Thinking I may have entered incorrect addy I resubmitted yesterday making sure Email was correct but still havenāt received conf. Can you see my info? Thanks for your outstanding participation.
Well, I want to say that the āultimate throwerā BLF GT didnāt interest meā¦ much. Iām really not into super throwers. Iām not a hunter. I live in the city. And I donāt have the desire to shoot down helicopters.
BUT THIS! I actually would like to have one. If I could, Iād buy two or three (father-in-law and brother-in-law need toys too and they live in rural/farming area with open spaces). Iām not signing up for now, because I have no money to spend. But Iām glad itās being made, because maybe one day Iāll get the chance to own oneā¦
ā¦just need to get that second job I always dreamed about. :person_facepalming:
Changing from cell browser to laptop did the trick. Signed up for preferably neutral white light and possibly batteries depending on price. Never had issues on cell before now but thereās a first time for everything. Thanks TA !
Ok, good to know for anyone that does not get a confirmation email in the future.
BTW, if you do not get a confirmation email now, you will also not get the purchase information later. Either your email was incorrect or your browser had an issue. Either way we will not have the correct address to contact you.
Aināt that the truth. Mine worked fine for this, but about a week ago I could not order anything from Banggood with my cell browser. I had never had a problem before that. It continued for about 3 days & is now back to normalā¦ working fine. Who knows???
Filled out the survey!
In for one conversion kit.
Wish they sold the pre-made light engine with shaved dome by itself but it sounds like it is what it is.
Thank you!
1x BLF GT70 (NW), I would prefer a 4000K version, cause I really like the original GTs tintā¦
(if NW will be around 5000K, a CW version will probably be betterā¦)
and I hope the price will be more like 200.- not 240.-ā¦ā¦
1x conversion kit, in case I manage to open my existing GTā¦.
Mine was great. I hope yours was great as well. Had a few friends over for some BBQ and drinks. I wish you and The Beave could have been here. That said, Iām super excited about this improved version of the GT!
Great, glad to hear that! Mine was find too. Uneventful but fine.
I wish I could have been there too. I think The Beave was unavailable howeverā¦ rumor has it Ward had āgroundedā him for a few daysā¦. some kind of trouble he had gotten into with Clarence.
Yepā¦. I think the GT70 may well be a āgame changerāā¦. time will tell. But I am excited too!
And the way this Group Buy is set up is just downright inpressive. TA has done good it seemsā¦ Real Good. :+1:
Was the Beave stuck in another soup bowl? When will he ever learn? Poor Ward, he had to deal with these major problems in the early 60ās. Can you imagine if he was still alive today dealing with millennials. LOLā¦ā¦
The de-dome option is something we are looking into. If they can prove to me they are capable of slicing the dome consistently and correctly the plan is to make it an option at check out.
Until they prove to me they can do it though I am not putting it on the sign up sheet.
The cost would be between $10-$15 I am guessing to have them slice the dome since I am sure it would have to be done by hand but they have not confirmed anything.
I wished the price would be less as well but they learned their lesson with the last GT sale when they also lost a whole lot of money. They only broke even in the last few hundred lights and the net profit was hardly anything. Particularly on a $100,000 investment.
If we could get 500 people to sign up I am pretty sure I could get the price a bit lower but not sure there will be enough time for that to happen before they ship.
If we get closer to that number so it looks reasonable I can talk to them and see what I can do. If they see a lot of interest I will have more leverage which is why I stopped negating at 400 people.
Iām not exactly sure what the problem was this time. It could have been another soup bowl.
Yeahā¦. poor olā Ward would in a state of perpetual shock if he was in this day & timeā¦. compared to the 60ās. A whole different ballgameā¦ and not necessarily a better one either.
