BTW, I also remebered the Odepro TM30 and the Nitefox UT20 that have the strobe outside the main cycle, in different ways.
The TM30 has a side switch that allows to access momentary strobe from OFF. When ON, that switch is pressed to change modes (T-H-M-L).
The UT20, in “outdoor” configuration, has 4 regular modes. Strobe can be accessed from ON by pressing & holding the side switch for a while. A single press will return to the regular modes.
