OK, I think I have most of the Throwers I want…. Now I want to buy some budget lights. IE Sipik 68 & some ecomical lights under say? $20… What are some fun small lights to mess with?
Sipik SK68, L3 Illuminations L10, and a Mini-01 are all fun mini sized lights. I would also recommend a zebralight, the UI on them is great.
Tank007 e09, nice bright AAA sized light.
Olight i3 alsoAAA is a bit dimmer but has a nicer beam and quality and a clip.
I have a one mode c60, with 16340 direct driven xre was fun to play one night, but I never use it because the mini 01 is much better and smaller.
And of course get some different sk68, colored ones and 3mode ones and buy the cheapest you can find on ebay…you never know what you get. Ad get one of the police lights for a spare tube to make a two cell sk68.
Zebra light under 20$…just a dream.
I have a Sipik that wore a hole in my pants from EDC use. I have a couple of the 3 mode (seem to be less bright than the single mode and one dodgy switch), but have better fortune with the single mode. I do like to see the Sipik logo on the light. Don’t get the Q3, get those that claim to be Q5. My first Q3 was dimmer and seemed to have a purple tint. I gifted it to someone that was not so finicky. They were pleased.
I last bought here.

Buy the 3 pack. You won’t regret it. My manager always takes one (or two).
Tank007-E09. This took pocket duty after the Sipik incident. At first, I didn’t think I would like a twisty, but I am now a believer. And 3 modes come in handy. Low mode is good for navigating the house without changing your night vision. Good price here (3 different colors):

Edit:
And let’s not forget the Costco TechLites. These offer some serious firepower (250 lumens claimed) at 3 for $20. They seem to approach the illumination of my Jetbeam PA40 (468 lumens) in actual use. The Costco lights I have are the older ones with 200 lumens. You will be hard pressed to find a budget light with more lumens/dollar. These make good car lights. You can sort out the miscellaneous leak, and use the strobe if you ever find yourself in a ditch. Load the light with Eneloops, and you won’t have to worry about battery leakage or dead batteries for 3 years. Yes/no?
Ultrafire HD2011 for about $10 you can’t really go wrong
Balder SE-1

Thanks… yeah thanks alot! Ordered one black and one red (actually it’s plum, not red). What??? Valentine’s is coming up
For something different, how about a solar-powered flashlight:
Goal Zero Solo
integrated solar panels and built-in rechargeable battery
specs: 8-10 hours sun to recharge, 2 hour runtime, 600mAh battery, 15 lumens (five 5mm LEDs )
I just got one, review coming….
