So yeah it’s about this YIHUA 937D
And this YIHUA 8858
Those two or the YIHUA 878D when it is restocked, but I heard something about grounding issues.
I know there is much better equipment arround but I’m just a small time tinkerer.

Can't say much about those Yihua stations, but thanks for the 8858 hot air gun link, price seems good with the coupon.
I bought a CXG DS110T mains soldering iron months ago from AliExpress and I am quite happy with it. I got mine with a bundled 10-pack of tips but preferably avoid these deals, the tips are crap. Ended up purchasing a genuine Hakko T18 2.4D tip later and that stuff ;-) works. Heating elements can be purchased in AliExpress, Banggood, etc cheap and easy.
Before getting the DS110T I also flirted with the Bakon BK950D, heard people says it's great.
Cheers ^:)
The tips are the reason I want such a simple station.
I have this 35 watt Velleman but is has a cone tip and lose tips are expensive.
Those broad hakko tips look amazing and afterall heat is heat right? Of course a more expensive unit would get hot faster, be more precise with temperatures and such. But I’m using it maybe twice a month for 30 minutes.
As for the heat gun I like that it is a separate product and that is all I can tell about the heatgun
I just don’t want to die using either of these products, by faulty wiring
Hey mate I have the 937D but under a different company name it’s a great soldering station and it uses the standard hakko tips. I’ve got a few hours on mine do far. Maybe 50+ hours it’s a joy to use. It heats up real quick and cools down really quick when you want to change the temperature. Even on start up its ready so quick I bought a cheap 30 watt soldering Iron for the shed takes ages to warm up.
You can find heaps of reviews on them it’s apparently the same as the analogue version.
It’s build like brick I’ve had mine fall of my desk a few times due to people pulling it by the cord and it walked it of lol.
They are meant to be using Japanese heating elements or at least mine is.
Also you can get it cheaper then the Banggood price check out ebay and aliexpress I paid around 55 AUD for mine and it shipped from Sydney so I could have gotten it cheaper then that from overseas. Actually fasttech has the analogue edition for 15 USD but shipping is a bit expensive because these have huge transformers and are heavy.
If you need any info let me know.
I have the YIHUA 936D and couldn’t be any happier - has been working for 2 years now and it is very good.
The second unit I have is the portable YIHUA 8858 220 V 650 W Tragbar LED BGA Rework Lötstation Heißluftgebläse Heißluftpistole Sale - Banggood Deutschland sold out-arrival notice-arrival notice 8858 hot air. It is also of high quality and has no issues. Running for 1 year now.
I purchased this soldering station less than 3 months ago and had really only given it light use. I’ve been tinkering with electronics for a while, and decided to upgrade from a soldering pencil to a station. I’m happy with this purchase. So far it has performed great, and is such a leap forward from my hardware store special I’ve had for years.
Ok update time!
Yesterday I got both the 937D and the 8858.
Have to say I haven’t really used the tools yet, only did the smoke test and melt some solder with them.
The inside of the 937D looks really nice and clean, no quick or nasty soldering of any kind.
They even crimped the grounding cable instead of just soldering it.
There was also a scratch sticker with a QR code, which told me the product is a genuine Yihua.
I haven’t been inside the 8858 so I can’t say anything about it’s insides.
But it’s just plug and play and I really like it.
Special thanks to the people who encouraged me to buy them. :+1:
