So this thought just came to me. I have a few of the Philips remote phosphor LED bulbs (2x 75w equivalent, 1x 60w equivalent).
The 75w equivalent has 18x LEDs total, in 3x panels of six LEDs. The 60w equivalent has 9x LEDs total, in 3x panels of 3 LEDs. I don’t know what emitter it uses off-hand yet, but I imagine it wouldn’t be hard to find out through a little research and some help from some forum brothers/sisters.
I guess my thought was this: get a NxT6 LED flashlight host, and retrofit these LEDs in place of the T6’s! Is a royal blue flashlight all that useful? No, of course it isn’t. But it does seem like something of a neat, unique project.
Has anyone attempted this, or does anyone else happen to know much about these bulbs?
