There’s plenty of EL tape and string out there. Shouldn’t take much to create custom forms.
When a kid, was given Radium paint. Well that what it was called. A little vial some 2 cm x 4 cm. It was glow in the dark and contained some radioactive ingredient that was converted to light with bismuth or zinc disulphide. Anyways, painted numerous toys but never on my or brother’s body. Later Dad replaced with common phosphorescent paint - said it was healthier!
There was a time these materials, albeit dangerous by our standards, were common in industry. This vial came from my Dad’s workshop, and God knows of the things these engineers worked with. With the cold war, anything could have been ordered if the right paperwork was pushed.
Dad died of multiple poisons. Some Beryllium and cyano-whatevers. Slow and painful, doctors tested and dug deeper only to be perplexed as to how he had survived!
I appear to have lost the glow pigment I bought years ago. Where did you get the LIT stuff from - it looks like it’s quite good!
Cheers
imo, few people will be inclined to make their own, and by sharing info, you just create more trust, among those who might just be happy to buy something from you…
go for it!
here is a great tutorial CRX shared, on how to make your own glow gaskets
Instead of following his tutorial and making my own,
I bought a few from him, and really enjoy them
the taste of quality lingers
long after the price is forgotten
Those things are expensive. I wanted one if I could buy it for 100 bucks but nope…
