Just tried it… nope.
Made sure all 3 were at minimum, cranked flood to max, flipped to spot and red and both of them were now at max, too.
Either one is fine by me.
I like the idea of separate channels like the twisty HS## and having each one “programmed” to a fave, but I can also see the appeal of not having dim red then getting blasted with a faceful of turbo spot by accidentally bumping the selector switch.
